Strategic Tax has recently merged with HFG Tax Preparation located in Minneapolis. Larry Hahka, owner of HFG Tax Preparation, is an Enrolled Agent with over 25 years of experience serving clients from all 50 states.
Sam Archer, CPA
Sam is Minnesota grown and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Accounting. After passing the Certified Public Accounting Exam, Sam entered a career at RSM within the international tax area. After a couple years, and busy seasons, Sam decided to specialize in individual tax and came to work at Strategic Tax to help clients file and plan for their tax year.
Sam's focus is on helping you achieve as favorable tax position as you are allowed and walking you through different scenarios based on your financial position. His specialties include capital gain/loss, self-employment, and small business taxation.
Melinda Meyer, CPA
Melinda was born and raised in Minnesota and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Accounting. Upon passing the Certified Public Accounting exam, Melinda started her career at KPMG LLP, auditing both large and small MN companies. After multiple busy seasons, Melinda went to work at Optum in their Finance area. Wanting to go back to a client-facing career, Melinda came to Strategic Tax to help clients with their tax preparation and strategy.
Melinda's main focus is helping you understand your taxes in the most efficient and stress-free way possible, as well as helping you achieve an advantageous tax position. Her specialties include residency, rental, and investment taxation.
